Images taken before the invention of modern inks were never intended to last for hundreds of years. Now, with new advances in ink and media, we can print and keep archival images for our great-great-great grandchildren.
SL Photo can reprint images from negatives in a darkroom or scan them for reconstruction. For images where the negatives are not available or are too frail to handle, we will print from the images that you provide. Standard scanning rates apply. If the original images are not clear or are damaged, we will inform the client as to our ability to reconstruct the image.
As much as we try, sometimes restoration is not an option. SL Photo will inform the customer and return all images. We will also provide options we can do to prevent any further degradation of the image.
